As a result of this acquisition, 118 employees (both permanent and temporary) will join the Group. Following the integration, Grupo Segura will employ more than 1,100 people across its facilities in Vigo, Valencia, and Hungary.<\/p><p>According to Grupo Segura,\u00a0<em class=\"___11wyd0v f1j4dglz\" data-lexical-text=\"true\">\u201cthe establishment of operations in Vigo through the acquisition of this Plastic Omnium division will allow us to expand our customer portfolio and supply our products to the Stellantis Group.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0The company also stated that\u00a0<em class=\"___11wyd0v f1j4dglz\" data-lexical-text=\"true\">\u201cas part of the initiatives included in its strategic plan, Grupo Segura is pursuing inorganic growth opportunities aimed at expanding its customer base and revenue, moving closer to customers\u2019 production facilities, and leveraging the organizational structure developed over recent years to successfully implement this initiative.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0<\/p><h3><strong data-lexical-text=\"true\">Grupo Segura\u2019s National Footprint<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h3><p>This expansion into Galicia will provide Grupo Segura with direct access to Stellantis, which, according to the company\u2019s own figures, holds a 23% market share in Spain and 21% across Europe\u2019s main automotive markets. It also enables Segura to strengthen its manufacturing footprint across Spain and supply components to leading automotive manufacturers nationwide. As a result, components can be supplied from its Valencia plant to Stellantis factories in Madrid and Zaragoza, from the newly acquired Vigo facility to the Stellantis plant in Vigo, and, of course, to Ford from its Valencia operations.<\/p><p>In addition, the acquisition will foster collaboration between Segura and Plastic Omnium on projects requiring metal components, an area in which the Valencia-based company has extensive expertise.<\/p><p>Plastic Omnium described the transaction as\u00a0<em class=\"___11wyd0v f1j4dglz\" data-lexical-text=\"true\">\u201cpart of Plastic Omnium\u2019s strategy to focus its Clean Energy Systems Division on its core business, namely the production of plastic fuel systems for the automotive industry.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0<\/p><h3><strong data-lexical-text=\"true\">About Grupo Segura<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h3><p>Grupo Segura is an industrial group specializing in the design, development, and manufacture of metal components for the automotive industry, primarily through stamping and welding processes.<\/p><p>The value of Grupo Segura\u2019s products lies in their optimized designs, developed to be safer and lighter, making them more environmentally friendly by helping reduce fuel consumption and minimizing environmental impact.<\/p><p>Grupo Segura operates four manufacturing plants, three located in the Valencian Community (Spain) and one in Hungary, in addition to its corporate headquarters in Paterna (Valencia).<\/p><p>The Group currently employs approximately 1,000 people.\u00a0<\/p><h3><strong data-lexical-text=\"true\">About Plastic Omnium<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h3><p>Plastic Omnium is a world-leading provider of innovative solutions for more connected and sustainable mobility.
