Since our founding in 1970, Grupo Segura has maintained a steady level of growth and technological evolution.
1st Factory in Burjassot
The company was founded by Don Francisco Segura Segura.
The inauguration of the factory was an emotional and family-oriented event attended by Joaquín Arce del Río (Secretary of the Provincial Board for the Protection of Minors).
It was initially conceived for the design and construction of metal stamping tools.
It later began its activity by stamping small parts for the toy and furniture industries.

1974
During the early years, the company worked intensively on manufacturing hardware for furniture and small lithographic toys.
PLAYME and GEYPER were good customers, and during a visit to one of them at their headquarters in Germany, the decision was made to hire female staff for the production line. FLEX, MACOSA, and COINTRA were also among the new customers who placed their trust in this young company. This activity attracted the attention of IBM, and that year the first projects for the American firm were launched.
1977
Consolidation of IBM suppliers.
Expansion of facilities
Segura carries out the first expansion of the tooling workshop and proceeds to separate it from the stamping activity. Growth continues with IBM and another of the many expansions of the stamping plant is carried out.
1980
Our beginnings in the automotive industry
Due to its interest in expansion, F. Segura entered the automotive sector as a stamper of small body parts for Ford, introducing demanding quality controls for the parts manufactured.
1982
Official FORD suppliers
Ford officially certifies us as suppliers, and we begin producing small parts for the American company with the oval logo.
Growth
1987
Growth begins in infrastructure. Work begins on the expansion of the headquarters in Burjassot, which was completed at the end of 1988.
1989
New Burjassot Q1 Ford stamping plant
In April, the Burjassot stamping plant was inaugurated, with visits from prominent figures of the time (including the Regional Minister of Industry, the Mayor of Burjassot, and the President of the Regional Government).
We achieved Q1 certification from the FORD Company.
1990
New value-added services Engineering, assembly, and painting
With a solid foothold in the automotive sector, F. Segura decided to take the leap and become a group, offering all kinds of value-added services and becoming an FSS (Full Service Supplier), a concept of the time that highlighted the company’s ability to competitively devise, design, and produce all kinds of automotive parts.
At this point, it offered design engineering, support from resident engineers, prototypes, painting, assembly, advanced logistics, and, in short, a complete service for the automotive industry of the time.
The first 1000-ton Voronek presses were acquired, purchased in Russia through complicated commercial transactions in that country. These presses took more than six months to assemble due to the slowness of the Russian technicians sent by the company, who, captivated by the climate and friendliness of Valencia, slowed down the assembly process.
1996
Valdesa
Purchase of land in the Juan Carlos I industrial park in Almusafes
On December 21, all employees visit Almusafes to see the construction work on what will be the future VALDESA plant. The group continues its unstoppable growth and, as a token of gratitude to the team for all their hard work, a celebratory lunch is held at PALMAR.
1998
New engineering facilities
In November, the new facilities of the IDU engineering department will be inaugurated in Burjassot, with the Minister of Industry, customers, and dignitaries attending the event.
2000
Almusafes I
Official opening of the Almusafes I factory
The official opening of the Almusafes I factory, now almost at full capacity, is attended by senior Ford executives, the President of the Regional Government of Valencia, the Mayor of Almusafes, as well as several regional ministers and other dignitaries.
2005
Purchase of paint company
Grupo Segura acquires 100% of a cataphoretic dip coating (KTL) company and consolidates its position in the automotive specialty coatings sector.
European expansion
2008
Hungary
Grupo Segura launches a new production factory in Szolnok (Hungary), serving manufacturers in the automotive sector in northern, central, and eastern Europe.
2011
Hungary facility expansion – Q1 Ford Hungary
During this year, the facility in Hungary is expanded, and we receive Ford’s Q1 for that facility.
2013
New projects
New projects that will give the company another boost, such as Ford’s V408, with iconic parts such as the BulkHead, or projects such as Volvo’s SPA.
Given the scale of all the projects, there is a need to find more space for storage and shipping, and we are forced to temporarily rent a logistics facility in Picassent, ALS.
New line of business
At the end of 2013, a new line of business was also launched, taking advantage of the perfect location of one of our warehouses, which will be dedicated to the logistics sequencing of raw material coils directly with Ford. Its name is ISE LOGISTIC SERVICES.
2014
Recognition in the sector and diversification
We are awarded the FORD AWARD and JLR AWARD.
Continued expansion in China
We began working with new clients such as BMW and Mercedes, and F.Segura opened an office in Hong Kong as the spearhead of our project in China.
2015
New office buildings
In January, our new office building opens in the Paterna Technology Park, in innovative facilities that centralize all engineering, sales, purchasing, administration, and management departments.
Almusafes II
At the end of the year, a new warehouse is acquired in Almusafes, which will be named Almusafes II. Most of the welding processes will be moved to this factory, which will also serve as the logistics center for customer shipments. The heavy logistics workload has led Grupo Segura to invest in automatic management and SGA data capture.
2016
Join Venture in China
With this new location, Grupo Segura consolidates its international expansion, serving the Asian market from its new plant in the city of Jilin.
2020

Large industrialized part manufactured at our facilities in less than one year, including the complete construction of assembly lines, configuration, and PPAP.
2022
Acquisition of Almusafes III
Valencia (Spain)
New facilities in Vigo
Acquisition of two Plastic Omnium facilities (stamping and welding) in Vigo, Spain.
2023
Expansion in the heart of Europe: New headquarters in Germany
We are taking a decisive step forward in our internationalization strategy with the acquisition of two production plants in the German towns of Eisenach and Treuenbrietzen. This expansion places us physically at the nerve center of the global automotive sector, allowing us unprecedented technical and logistical proximity to the leading European manufacturers (OEMs). By integrating these capabilities into our global network, we are not only increasing our responsiveness, but also consolidating a service model based on proximity, shared knowledge, and cutting-edge operational excellence.
2024
Smart future: clean energy and Industry 4.0
In a decisive step towards decarbonizing our operations, we completed the installation of solar panels at all of the Group’s production centers. By generating our own clean energy, we ensure more responsible and resilient production, aligning our processes with the most demanding sustainability standards in today’s automotive industry.
We transformed our operational capacity by executing the Digital Transformation Master Plan. With the global implementation of SAP S/4HANA and the integration of data analysis tools such as Power BI, we have turned our plants into smart Industry 4.0 ecosystems. This comprehensive digitization ensures full traceability, real-time data-driven decision-making, and responsive agility that allows us to optimize every resource to deliver maximum technical excellence to our customers.
2025
Global TISAX certification. A firm step forward in digital security.
We have consolidated our position as a highly trusted strategic partner by certifying all our facilities under the TISAX standard. This milestone is not only regulatory compliance, but also a guarantee of a secure environment for our customers’ intellectual property. By integrating data protection into the heart of our operating culture, we ensure transparent and secure collaboration in the exchange of information critical to the development of global mobility.
